On Sunday 22nd May 2016 the team behind 3 Pistes Cycle Sportive and Arran Man Triathlon will bring you the second LOCH loMAN triathlons.
Based at Loch Lomond Shores, Balloch, three open water event distances will be staged – Sprint, Standard and Middle Distance .
LOCH loMAN (Middle Distance) 1.9km swim, 86km cycle, 20 km run
LOCH loMAN (Standard Distance) 1.5km swim, 42km cycle, 10km run
LOCH loMAN (Sprint Distance) 750m swim, 17km cycle, 5km run
The swim will be in Britain’s largest body of fresh water – Loch Lomond.
The cycle will be on predominantly rolling, fast, wide rural roads.
That said an early 4km and last 1.5km will be on the busy A82. It being 7am Sunday morning it hopefully should be quiet. We have created a route so that all turns are left, or at a roundabout. We will marshal all junctions on A82 and have extensive pre event signage.
Also the climb up from Faslane has several switchbacks and hits gradients of 18% !!!
The run will be predominately flat 5km & 10km loop along the banks of Loch Lomond and through the woods.
Will there be a duathlon option?

Hi
I’m probably missing something here, but I am struggling to find the sprint distance route map (which includes the shape of the swim)? Is their one and if so what’s the thread to follow?
In addition, I take it their will be a final conclusive e mail to send to participant athletes confirming all the finalised plans and routes?
Thanks
Greig
